Library

The study and research library is the fruit of a sincere commitment, dating back over thirty years, to create a hub for art-specific documentary resources. Featuring over 53,000 documents, it includes a major 19th century heritage collection donated by the former École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs de Nice.

To enhance the visibility of its collection, the study and research library has partnered with three networks: the university libraries of the UCA (Université Côte d’Azur), Sudoc (a documentation network for higher learning institutes in France) and the association BEAR (Bibliothèques des écoles d’art en reseau).

Beyond managing its holdings, the library is also responsible for collecting, conserving, classifying and indexing archives relevant to teaching and research. As a hub for artistic experimentation and innovation, Villa Arson’s teaching and photography archives offer a fully rounded record of the institution’s activities.

Radio Arson

Radio Arson is the podcast created by Villa Arson’s library, and featuring brief interviews with artists, writers and curators visiting the site for workshops, conferences and exhibitions, as well as readings by students at Villa Arson and other formats yet to come.
