For its third edition, the Magnetic program has selected artist Emilia Beatriz for a residency at Villa Arson and Violaine Barrois for a residency at Cove Park.

Launch of the La surface démange collection

Villa Arson is delighted to announce the launch of its "La surface démange" collection, with the publication of two books: Espaces pédagogiques alternatifs: de l'utopie à l'institutionnalisation by Anna Colin, and Féminisme et pédagogie au cœur des formations artistiques: 40 ans d'expérience by Griselda Pollock. These two books are also published in English in partnership with Sternberg Press - The MIT Press.

Marie-Ann Yemsi, new director of the Centre d’Art

Sylvain Lizon, Director of EPA Villa Arson, is delighted to announce the appointment of Marie-Ann Yemsi as Director of the Villa Arson art center. Villa Arson co-publishes, with Mousse Publishing, Haus der Waldsee and Air de Paris, the first monograph devoted to artist Bruno Pélassy (1966-2002).

Carla Barkatz, winner of the Prix Essentiel-les 2024

Carla Barkatz, who graduated from Villa Arson in 2020, is the winner of the Prix Essentiel-les MIP - VILLA ARSON 2024. This pilot program aims to support emerging creation, by giving Villa Arson alumni the opportunity to experiment in an innovative way with the relationship between artistic creation, the sensory dimension and scientific research.

Villa Arson on the road to ecological transition

In December 2024, the innovative Classe Climat program was launched at the Villa Arson. Aimed at Villa Arson staff, this course is designed to train staff in the challenges of ecological transition and find concrete solutions to reduce the Villa Arson's environmental footprint.

workshop David ritzinger x Inharmonic Orchestra

To celebrate its fifteenth anniversary, the Orchestre Inharmonique de Nice is organizing a concert by students from the Villa Arson and the École nationale supérieure d'arts de Paris Cergy, accompanied by the Hackedepicciotto duo. To mark the occasion, artist David Ritzinger and a team of students will produce screen-printed posters of the event during a workshop from April 28 to May 2, 2025.

Seven Villa Arson graduates at 100% L’EXPO 2025

In keeping with its ambition to showcase young artists, La Villette is presenting some forty recent graduates of French art schools in 100% L'EXPO from April 10 to May 11, 2025. Seven Villa Arson graduates have been selected to take part in this exhibition: Léo Dupré, Valentine Gardiennet, Emika Lannelongue, Carlota Sandoval-Lizarralde, Romain Ravera, Sofia Rocha Mondragon and Murphy Yum.

The garden: exhibition, study trip, performance in Stuttgart

Students and graduates from the VIEM (Video/Image in Motion, led by Pia Maria Martin) and Klub16 (a visual research and experimentation group focusing on the moving image, led by Pia Maria Martin and Jean-Baptiste Ganne) programs have completed several projects on the theme of the garden in Stuttgart.

Cross workshop with Ensa Paris Belleville and Centre National de la Danse

For the third year running, the Villa Arson is renewing its partnership with the École Nationale Supérieure de Paris-Belleville (ENSA-PB), as part of a project taking place at the Villa Arson from April 4 to 13, and this year involving the Centre National de la Danse in Pantin (CND).
