Textile/Flexible Materials Workshop
textile/soft materials workshop

The workshop is open Monday to Thursday throughout the school year, from 8:30 am.
It is open to all students, from grades 1 to 5.
Individual training over four to five half-days, depending on the student’s schedule, is offered to all students who wish to take part. This consists of making a garment (shirt, dress or pants), covering the entire production process (pattern-making, cutting, assembly, sewing, etc.).
This training provides a sound basis for developing personal projects of any kind independently.
Depending on their projects and skills, different machines and techniques are available. The projects handled can be extremely varied: creation of performance costumes, pattern-making, textile sculpture, molding, thermo-gluing, etc.
Students receive technical support, in conjunction with the other workshops (wood, metal, etc.), to help them realize their projects and tackle the hanging issues associated with their pieces.
Industrial equipment/machines: DURKOPP ADLER 267, triple flatbed drive, TEXI triple column drive, BERNINA 217N, JACK overlock machine.
Domestic equipment/machinery: SINGER Supera.
Workshop manager: Éric Grandbarbe
