governance
The Villa Arson is a public administrative institution under the supervision of the French Ministry of Culture, part of the Université Côte d’Azur. Headed by a director, it is organized into departments and divisions in accordance with the organizational chart.
The governance of the Villa Arson is composed of :
- a deliberative body: Board of Directors
- a pedagogical body: Commission for Research, Pedagogy and Student Life
- administrative bodies: Technical Committee and Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors deliberates in particular on the school’s program and activity report, matters relating to the life of the school and its organization, as well as its internal regulations, the allocation of funds between the various activities of the school, the budget, its modifications and the financial account.
A commission for research, teaching and student life
A Commission for Research, Teaching and Student Life, chaired by the Director, is consulted on issues affecting teaching. In particular, it examines the possibility of allocating vacant or newly-created teaching posts between the various disciplines taught at the school.
A technical committee
The Technical Committee is a consultative body responsible for giving its opinion on issues and projects relating to the organization and operation of departments. In particular, it examines issues relating to staff numbers, jobs and skills, statutory rules, working methods, the main orientations of compensation policy, training, professional integration, professional equality and the fight against discrimination. It is made up of staff representatives (3 full members/3 alternates) and management representatives. At each meeting, the Chairman may invite experts and administrative representatives concerned by the issues or draft texts submitted to the Committee for an opinion.
Health, safety and working conditions committee
The Comité d’Hygiène, de Sécurité et des Conditions de Travail (CHSCT – health, safety and working conditions committee) contributes to protecting the health and improving the safety of employees. It is made up of staff representatives (3 full members/3 alternates) and management representatives. It oversees the application of rules relating to the protection and safety of employees, and analyzes working conditions and related risks. The CHSCT issues opinions on proposals for improvement on its own initiative, or on the proposal of the administration or the TC. In the event of serious risk or changes in working conditions, the CHSCT may call in an accredited expert to provide a precise assessment of the situation. The CHSCT, like the CT, may also call on the services of qualified experts, at the request of staff representatives or management.
